Griezmann to pay €120m release clause to leave Atletico Madrid for Barcelona

Antoine Griezmann has told Atletico Madrid that he will leave the club this summer.
Sky reports that Griezmann informed the La Liga club that he will deposit his €120m release clause in July.
Griezmann’s release clause is currently €200million after he signed a new contract with Atletico just last summer.
However, that figure drops to €120m euros from July 1.
The France forward is now in talks with Barca over a five-year deal.
In a farewell message on Atletico’s website, Griezmann said: “It’s been an incredible five years.
“Thank you very much for everything, I take you in the heart.”
